A public viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary. The burial will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at the Gibsonville Cemetery in Gibsonville, NC. Directions to both locations are below.
From the South and West
- US Route 1
- Take the Cary Parkway exit.
- Turn right at the top of the exit ramp.
- Take the first left on Tryon Road at the traffic light, and continue for approximately 1 mile.
- Colonial Baptist Church is on your right.
From the East
- Interstate 440 West
- Take Exit 295 (Gorman Street) and turn left at the top of the ramp.
- Continue on Gorman Street for ¼ mile
- Turn right on Tryon Road at the traffic light.
- Proceed on Tryon Road for 2 ½ miles.
- Colonial Baptist Church is on your left.
From the North
- Interstate 440 South
- Take the Walnut Street Exit and turn right at the top of the ramp.
- Proceed south on Walnut Street for 1 ¼ miles.
- Colonial Baptist Church is on your right
Directions to Gibsonville Cemetery (from Raleigh)
- Take I-40 past Burlington, NC to the Elon, NC exit.
- Turn right at the top of the ramp onto University Drive.
- Go North on University Drive to Hwy 70, which is approximately one mile.
- Turn left onto Hwy. 70 and go to the next traffic light and turn right onto Springwood Church Road (Springwood Ave. in the City Limits).
- The Gibsonville Cemetery is on your right approximately one mile north of Hwy 70, at 1201 Springwood Avenue
