University to hold forum on use
of technology in teaching, learning

NC State will hold an important campuswide forum in April to discuss ways that the university can use technology to improve teaching and learning.

The university is currently developing a strategic plan for Learning in a Technology-Rich Environment (LITRE). Implementing this plan will become a significant university commitment, as it will be the
centerpiece of NC State's application for reaccreditation by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS). The LITRE plan can have significant impact on how resources for technology-enhanced learning will be distributed in the future.

All faculty, staff and students are invited to join Chancellor Marye Anne Fox and Provost Robert Barnhardt in the forum and share ideas with the LITRE team. The forum will include the first presentation of potential LITRE action ideas and an open discussion.

The forum is scheduled for noon on April 22. The location of the event will be announced at a later date.
