Fire put Reynolds out of commission in May and slowed the progress of
previously planned renovations to the 60-year-old structure. The work
to restore the facility is virtually complete. It is being done in three
phases.
Phase 1: restored power and cleaned up smoke and water damage. The first
phase was complete about two weeks ahead of schedule.
Phase 2: restored the building to daily operation and getting the floor
down, was completed on time.
Phase 3: design and rebuilding of the areas directly affected by the
fire, will be complete by mid-September. Facilities is using the opportunity
to upgrade the HVAC and data connections for the classrooms.
