NC State officials are seeking the campus community’s input regarding decisions that will shape the future of transportation services available to those associated with the university at two upcoming public meetings. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Talley Student Center Blue Room. A second meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Caldwell Hall Lounge. The meetings will give members of the campus community an opportunity to provide input on Wolfline bus services, bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, and traffic management on campus. Transportation officials will present a brief overview of the five-year transit plan, which includes three alternative approaches to meeting the transit needs of the community. Participants will also be able to give feedback on suggested future parking deck locations, traffic operations, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements. After the presentation, participants will be invited to break into small groups to review transit, pedestrian, bicycle, traffic and parking proposals, maps, and offer comments and suggestions. For more information, contact Slade McCalip or Christine Klein in the transportation office. McCalip can be reached at 515-1605 or slade_mccalip@ncsu.edu. Klein can be reached at 515-1469 or christine_klein@ncsu.edu.
