The College of Natural Resources will celebrate its 75th anniversary, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 21 and 22, with a series of prominent speakers, a gala dinner, foundation meetings and many departmental activities.

Dale Bumpers, former U.S. senator from Arkansas, will deliver the keynote address. Among those also speaking will be Fran Mainella, director of the National Park Service; Melissa Johnson, executive director of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports; Sharon Haines, director of sustainable forestry and forest policy for International Paper Corp.; and Jamie Rappaport Clark, executive vice president for Defenders of Wildlife.

Among Friday’s activities are a trip to Camp Slocum; a campus tour; an art museum and park tour; and a short-game golf clinic with stroke analysis conducted by students of the university’s professional golf management program.

Most of the weekend’s events will be held at the Sheraton Imperial in Research Triangle Park. No registration fees are required. For more information, visit http://cnr.ncsu.edu/75th.
