Fee implemented
for visitor parking
As approved by the Board of
Trustees, a daily parking fee of $2 is now in effect for campus
visitors, including workshop and seminar
attendees.
“NC State’s parking facilities are completely user-funded,” says
Tom Kendig, director of Transportation. “In order to sustain our
facilities, it's appropriate and equitable that our 67,000 plus yearly
visitors share in this cost. As we implement this new policy, we look
forward to working with the campus community to continue projecting a
welcoming image to our campus visitors."
Individual visitors may purchase daily permits at the Visitor Information
Centers (Main Campus, Stinson Drive, Centennial Campus - Varsity Drive),
as well as the NCSU Transportation office located at 2721 Sullivan Drive.
The Transportation Customer Service area operates from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
Several options are available
to accommodate differing visitor situations. Departments may also purchase
visitor permits in bulk. If you have this
need, contact Carl McGill Sr.,
special events coordinator, at 515-1600.
