Charles A. Moose, former chief of the Montgomery County (Md.) police, most noted for his role in the Washington, D.C.-area sniper cases, will be the keynote speaker for Academic Integrity Week events on campus this week. The discussions, films and lectures scheduled are sponsored by the Student Judicial Board and the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service. Activities will be held from Monday, Nov. 3, through Wednesday, Nov. 5, at different locations around campus. Moose, who gained nationwide attention for his handling of the serial sniper attacks on residents of Maryland and Virginia in October of last year, has since resigned his post as police chief and has written a book, “Three Weeks in October,” about the killings, the manhunt, and the capture of the suspects. Some
activities for the week include; the film “The Emperor’s
Club” and discussion, 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, in 2215 Williams
Hall; keynote speech by Charles A. Moose, 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov.
5, in Witherspoon Student Cinema, followed by a question-and-answer
session.
