Hood (second from left) was presented the 2005 Menscer Cup by Carolyn
and Darrell Menscer (right) recently during a ceremony sponsored
by the NC State Foundation. Hood was joined by his wife, Kay (far
left). The cup is presented annually in honor of the Menscers for “exemplary
leadership of advancement efforts” at the university. Hood
served on the university’s Board of Trustees for eight years,
founding the development committee, and chaired two fundraising
campaigns, including the Achieve! campaign. There are currently
15 Hood Scholars on campus benefitting from the Hoods’ generosity, |
