MPEX Interview Protocol
The MPEX interview is a semi-structured 3 part interview that takes 30-60 minutes
- Background questions
- Why did you choose to come to this this school?
- What math and science classes did you take before this class?
- Why did you decide to be a pre-med major?
- Response to 15-30 survey items
- students read item aloud
- Mark response
- Then tell me what they answered and why?
- Questions about student belief of effectiveness of instruction
- Was the course what you expected it to be?
- Do you work with other people outside of class?
- Which activities were most helpful for helping you learn physics? Least helpful?
