Planning and Leadership
Three ongoing activities will have broad impact on the university: the strategic plan process that will result in a plan that will guide NC State for at least the next 10 years; a strategic realignment of the university guided by the strategic plan and supporting greater efficiency and effectiveness and the annual budget process.
The university has begun to realign portions of the institution to increase student success, support new strategic plan and make the university more efficient and effective.
In Summer 2010, Chancellor Randy Woodson launched a campus-wide strategic planning initiative. The Pathway to the Future: NC States 2011-2020 Strategic Plan was adopted by the Board of Trustees in April 2011 and the university is currently developing an implementation plan.
In 2014, NC State University will undergo reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS reaffirmation of accreditation is completed every ten years.
Our ultimate goal is to move this university forward toward long-range objectives and not just tread water in another bad budget year.
