This Meeting of the Minds is an opportunity for the campus undergraduate research directors and attending faculty research mentors to share information about how ACC campuses intend to collect the assessment information now expected in SACS reports.

Faculty Presentation Session:
"New SACS Reporting on Out of Class Learning: Numbers and Outcomes"

The format of the session will include three 10-minute presentations by campus directors who will highlight how assessment data is collected on their campus as it relates to undergraduate research participation, growth and desired outcomes (faculty activity survey, graduating senior and alumni surveys, etc.).  These presentations will be followed by a panel discussion to address audience questions. In addition, each campus director is asked to provide the ACC host with a MS Word document (Times-New Roman, 12- point) of how your campus collects assessment data along with the targeted questions asked in questionnaires for distributed to the faculty/students).  These will be bound and distributed to attendees at the Faculty Presentation Session.  Directors are asked to email, as attachments, your campus documents to the host:  George_Barthalmus@ncsu.edu

Your Campus Summer Research Programs:  Campus directors are also asked to provide information you wish to announce on this website about summer research opportunities (REU or REU-like programs) open to ACC students.  A special request for this information will come from the conference host.
