Mission Statement
The Department of Campus Activities, a unit of the Division
of Student Affairs, encourages and supports the growth and
development of the whole student. As a cornerstone of out-of-class
learning, the department enhances the academic mission of the
university through programs and resources that promote leadership,
diversity, critical thinking, creativity, social interaction
and community. Services for parents are designed to facilitate
a partnership between the university and students' families that
supports student success.
Green Initiatives
The Department of Activities
works to provide dynamic programs and services using sustainable
practices that reduce our impact
on the environment. Key focus areas include event management,
printed projects, office operations, education and personal
habits. For example, Parents & Families Services prints
the Parents’ Handbook, PACKParents newsletters, and all
printed projects on recycled paper. The SORC is working to
create a paper-less registration system for student organizations.
The Union Activities Board uses eco-friendly products for dining
and “give-aways.”
