Nevin E. Kessler, associate dean for development and alumni relations at Yale University School of Management, has been named vice chancellor for advancement at NC State University, effective Oct. 15.

Kessler will oversee a division that includes more than 140 staff members working in public affairs, alumni relations, development and advancement services. He succeeds Terry G. Wood, who will be retiring from NC State in June of 2008.
