The Mission of the Virtual Advising Center is:

To provide academic information through virtual and face-to-face cross-curricular advising for current and prospective undergraduate students; and

To serve as a resource for faculty, staff and advisers regarding NC State Academic policies and general advising practices.

Temporary Advisement Report
If you want to change your major when you make an appointment with an adviser, you will be required to request a temporary advisement report.  This must be done at least 24 hours before your appointment so the updates can be made in the system.  Instructions for accessing the temporary advisement report are below.

1. To access the Temporary Advisement Report, first log into My Pack using your Unity ID and password.
2. Once in MyPack Portal, go to Student Self Service, then Degree Progress/Graduation and select Degree Audit.
3. On the Degree Audit page, look for a link in the middle of the page titled "Request Temporary Advisement Report".
4. Follow the instructions to add up to 4 majors that you are considering. The system will update overnight, and the next day you will be able to see how all of your coursework fits into a different major.
