Description
The undergraduate academic minor in Agricultural and Environmental Technology
is offered to students interested in the application of engineering technology
analysis in agricultural and environmental systems that utilize machinery,
agricultural structures, food and feed processing, soil and water and
waste management, electrical power and controls, and agricultural safety
and health technology. This program allows majors in other areas to understand
engineering technology for equipment, materials, resources, processes
and facilities utilized in their major area of study, and be knowledgeable
in the application of technology for managing environmental issues, impacts
and monitoring.
Requirements
- Completion of a minimum of 15 credit hours.
- Open to all students at NC State except students majoring in Agricultural
and Environmental Technology (AET).
- The program is flexible in order for students to be able to emphasize
the area of their interest.

Admissions
Students who plan to minor in Agricultural and Engineering Technology
should contact Dr. Crowell Bowers for consultation and approval.
Certification
Dr. Bowers will certify the minor prior to graduation. The minor must
be completed no later than the semester in which the student expects
to graduate from his or her degree program. Paperwork for certification
should be completed no later than during the registration period for
the student's final semester at NC State.
