Description
The Biological Sciences Interdepartmental Program (BSIP) offers an undergraduate minor in Biological Sciences that is open to all baccalaureate students except Biochemistry, Botany, Microbiology, and Zoology majors. This minor is intended
to enhance the programs of students whose major fields are outside the biological sciences and who are interested in obtaining a broad-based perspective in the biological sciences. Course requirements provide students an opportunity to gain knowledge and acquire laboratory skills in several topical areas that contribute to the biological sciences.
Requirements
- The minor in Biological Sciences requires completion of a minimum of sixteen (16) semester hours.
- Three courses, each with a laboratory component, must be among those selected for the minor.
- A minimum grade of 'C-' is required in all courses.

Admissions and Certification of Minor
Admissions
Students who plan to minor in Biological Sciences should
contact the person listed below for consultation and approval. This person will
assign the student a minor adviser who will help the student design
a program of study to meet the academic needs of the student and monitor
the student's progress.
Certification
The contact person below will certify the completion of the student's
