Description
The Leadership in Agriculture and Life Sciences minor is open to all interested baccalaureate students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The minor is especially appropriate for students enrolled in agricultural and life sciences majors seeking a competative edge when applying for supervisory or management positions in careers related to the agriculture and life sciences industries. Students completing this minorwill be able to apply the theory, principles and skills required by leaders in their discipline.
Requirements
The minor requires a minimum of 17 credit hours with 14 credit hours
from a required core and 3 credit hours from a list of technical writing courses.
The minimum grade required for all courses counting toward the minor is
"C-".

Admissions
Students who plan to minor in Extension Education should contact Dr.
David W.W. Jones. Applications and requirements for the minor
may be obtained in 13 Ricks Hall or contacting the departmental Student
Services Assistant at 919.515.2241. Students applying for the Leadership in Agriculture and Life Science minor should submit the application listing the courses required for completion of the minor at least one semester prior to graduation.
Certification
Dr. David W. W. Jones will verify that all requirements have been met and recommentd approval by the department head, to certify the completion of the student's
minor program. The signed minor application/ program of work will be submitted to the Academic Programs Office in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences by the department head. Certification must be submitted no later than the registration
period for the student's final semester at NC State. The minor must
be completed no later than the semester in which the student expects
to graduate from his or her degree program.
