| Aquatic Biosecurity Laboratory
The aquatic biosecurity laboratory for clinical trials is located at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh North Carolina. Laboratory protocols used by the ASL and the ASL facility have been reviewed and approved for aquatic animal studies by the USDA.
The facility is available to aquatic animal health researchers to clinical studies with aquatic animal species. Use of the laboratory requires submission of an on-line full facility use proposal (proposal form), completion of our intstituation animal care and use proposal and committee approval (IACU proposal), review of our facility protocols (ASL protocols) and completion of a short on-line examination (ASL examination), and a cooperative agreement with NCSU (NCSU cooperative agreement application).
Although these steps are required or facility coordinator, Emily Thorp, is available to assist you with the application process.
