AERN was founded in 1992 by a group of US and African universities meeting on the campus of Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a non-profit making network dedicated solely to the dissemination of information on Africa.  Since no part of the world can live in isolation, we try to link our resources to cover other parts of the world. To that end, the main projects of AERN include the THE AFRICAN SYMPOSIUM, our on-line African Educational Research Journal and a variety of other activities to promote and support African-based scholars.
