WANTED:
High School Students!
Who:
Students entering the high school Junior or Senior
year in Fall 2009
Students interested in math, physics and chemistry
Inquisitive, motivated students with strong interests in engineering
and applied science careers
What :
A hands-on learning experience for the application
of math, physics and chemistry principles
A team-based, problem solving science experience for approximately
20 students, under the direction of distinguished faculty, staff and student "Materials
Mentors"
A combination of team projects, hands-on use of advanced laboratory
equipment, demonstrations, lectures and field trips to actively explore materials
science & engineering principles
When and Where:
North Carolina State University , Engineering Building I on Centennial
Campus
June (exact date to be announced) is a residential camp.

Selection Process:
This is a competitive application process. Students
must have basic knowledge of algebra, chemistry, and physical science
and should demonstrate a strong interest in engineering and applied
science through their personal essay.
Materials scientists and engineers will review applications to select
the most qualified students.
Notification of selection will be provided by May 31 st .
