Meeting Overview
This year we are pleased to continue a joint symposium between the North Carolina
Section of the Materials Research Society and Carolinas Central Chapter of
ASM International. The meeting will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009
at the new Engineering Building 1 on the Centennial Campus of NC State University..
The meeting is expected to draw 80-90 participants, both locally and from
the surrounding region. Topics ranging from materials synthesis, processing,
characterization, biomaterials and modeling will be presented by both invited
and selected student contributions.
Location:
The meeting will be held at NC State University, Engineering Building 1 on
the Centennial Campus. Directions and Campus Map
Student Poster
Several student contributed papers will be considered for oral presentation
and will be allotted 15 minutes. A student poster session will also be held;
contributions from students on research results, even at intermediate stages
of completion are strongly encouraged. Please indicate whether your abstract
should be considered as a paper or as a poster. Electronic abstracts are
required (please use Times New Roman font in 12 point). Prizes will be awarded
to the best student oral presentation and poster presentation. Poster size
available will be 48 inches by 36 inches. Abstract deadline is NOV 11th.
