The AMT initiative hosted a symposium, The Innovation Environment at NC STATE, on July 23, 2008. Breakfast provided an excellent networking opportunity for attendees, which included county, state and federal government officials, medical technology developers, professional service providers, economic development officials and representatives from academia. The new AMT@NC STATE website - a foundational component of the innovation environment - was launched at the symposium, and attendees provided valuable feedback using an interactive audience response system. Faculty members and Technology Transfer officers presented recent advances at NC STATE. By partnering with local and regional economic developers, the AMT initiative assists with branding and recruitment initiatives to further strengthen the value system.
