Our Call Center is filled with motivated, enthusiastic and
friendly NC State students who contact alumni, parents, and friends
of the University. As a Calling Specialist, you will learn important
communication skills and gain valuable professional experience for
your resume.

• Solicit contributions
• Provide information about university
accomplishments and activities
• Update alumni records
• Must be an undergraduate NC
State student
• Excellent command of the English
language
• Speak clearly on the telephone
• Ability to organize and present
facts in a concise and persuasive manner
• Enthusiasm about NC State
• Ability
to record data accurately
• Professional and /or volunteer
experience working directly with the public
• Experience or training in sales,
marketing, or public relations
• Starting hourly rate of $7.75
per hour with periodic increases based on performance and seniority.
• Callers must work a minimum
of three shifts per week.
• Callers are required to work
the Sunday shift for the first five months of employment.
• Calling takes place during the
fall, summer and spring semesters Monday through Thursday from
6:00-9:00pm and Sunday 4:00-8:00pm.
• During the summer sessions calling
takes place Monday through Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
Callers are required to work a minimum of two shifts per week.
