Each year more parents reaffirm
their support and belief in the outstanding educational opportunities
at North Carolina State University by contributing to the annual
Parents’ Fund. The Parents’ Fund
Development Council, led by parent Chairpersons, works with the
Office of Annual Giving to provide all parents with the opportunity
to annually support the Student Affairs programs and services that
make the NC State experience richer and broader for our students.
• Make a leadership gift of
$1,000 or more to the Parents’ Fund.
Members will be recognized with Chancellor’s Circle membership
at the $5,000 Partner level, the $2,500 Fellow level, or the $1,000
Member level.
• Serve as an ambassador
to educate fellow NC State parents about the importance of supporting
the Parents’ Fund, the
benefits provided to students, and helping reach the annual goals
of the Parents’ Fund.
• Attend meetings and help set annual
fund raising strategies and goals.
• Identify
potential leadership donors and secure financial support from
selected parents for the Parents’ Fund gifts
by phone, correspondence, personal visits, or any combination of
the three methods. Report the results of contact to Annual Giving
staff.
• Participate in Parents & Families Services events
such as Parents & Families Weekend in the fall and Spring Fling
in the spring. These opportunities will help Council members stay
connected to the University and better share the importance of
the Parents’ Fund.
• Identify
and help recruit new Parents’ Fund
Development Council members and chairpersons.
