How Much RAM Do I Have?

Windows Vista:

1. Click on the "Windows Orb" button (formerly called the "Start" button).
   
   
2. Select Control Panel.
   
   
   
3. On the left side of the Control Panel window, click on Classic View. If your Control Panel is already in Classic View, continue to step 4.
   
   
4. When Classic View is displayed on the right, locate and open the icon titled System.
   
   
   
5. The amount of RAM will be listed near the bottom of the window.
   
   
   

Windows XP, Windows Server 2003:

1. Click on the Start button.
   
   
2. Select Control Panel.
   
   
3. On the left side of the Control Panel window, click on Switch to Classic View. If your Control Panel is already in Classic View, continue to step 4.
   
   
4. When Classic View is displayed on the right, locate and open the icon titled System.
   
   
   
5. Make sure the General tab is visible.
   
   
6. The amount of RAM will be listed near the bottom of the window.
