Windows Vista:
- Click on the "Windows Orb" button (formerly called the "Start" button).
- Select Control Panel.

- On the left side of the Control Panel window, click on Classic View. If your Control Panel is already in Classic View, continue to step 4.
- When Classic View is displayed on the right, locate and open the icon titled System.

- The amount of RAM will be listed near the bottom of the window.

Windows XP, Windows Server 2003:
- Click on the Start button.
- Select Control Panel.
- On the left side of the Control Panel window, click on Switch to Classic View. If your Control Panel is already in Classic View, continue to step 4.
- When Classic View is displayed on the right, locate and open the icon titled System.

- Make sure the General tab is visible.
- The amount of RAM will be listed near the bottom of the window.
