Summer Conferences

In keeping with our mission statement, each summer we attempt to provide pool access to participants attending summer conferences hosted by N. C. State University. Due to the number of programs that are being conducted in the pool during the summer, it is necessary that guidelines are followed whenever a summer conference group desires to have access to the pool.

These guidelines include the following:

•  Times for Summer Conferences attendees to use the pool:

•  Monday through Friday: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

•  Saturday and Sunday: 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Making arrangements to use the pool. Pool access requests for Summer Conferences should be made through Dean Kennedy, or a member of his staff, in University Housing-Conference Services. He, or his designee, will then forward the pool access request to Larry Brown, the Aquatics Director of the Willis R. Casey Aquatics Center in the Carmichael Gymnasium Complex to determine if the request can be accomodated. Mr. Kennedy's contact information is listed below. The cost is $1.50 per participant. The fees will be collected via an IDT at the end of the summer.

KENNEDY, DEAN F.

The request should be forwarded to the Aquatics Director at least two weeks prior to the desired access date to see if the request can be accomodated.

• Once the request has been approved. After receiving approval for access to the pool, the head counselor who will be accompanying the attendees to the pool must sign out for a pass for each attendee by 2:00 p.m. at least one day before desiring to come to the pool. There will be a maximum of 50 passes total issued for any given day for all groups combined. The passes should be picked up from the lifeguard at room 1403 CG (Lifeguard Office at the Willis R. Casey Aquatics Center). Below is an example of a pass for a counselor and an attendee.
