Ranger Challenge

Ranger Challenge is the varsity sport of Army ROTC.   The competition is designed to develop esprit-de-corps, technical and tactical competence, physical fitness, and leadership abilities of its participants.  The capstone event consists of a grueling 72 hour competition. The NC State University Ranger Challenge Team trains year-round for the Brigade Competition held annually at Ft. Pickett, VA.  The 72 hour competition tests typically consists of the Army Physical Fitness Test, marksmanship, one-rope bridge, land navigation, hand grenade assault course, combat patrolling and a 10K foot march. NC State Ranger Challenge cadets undergo intense training 5 days a week in preparation for the competition.  We pride ourselves on excellence and exceeding the standard.  If you're motivated, dedicated, and have an undeniable will to win, you just might have what it takes to join the team.
