On the NC State campus, you will find the
Arts programs primarily in the area
between Hillsborough Street and Western Boulevard. Offices
for arts administration, the Dance Program, Center Stage, the
Gallery of Art & Design and University Theatre are located
in the Talley Student Center.
University Theatre also maintains
offices in the Thompson Theatre building, which houses The Crafts
Center classes and gallery in the lower level. The Thompson Building
is closed until 2009 for renovations so The Crafts Center and University
Theatre's costume, scene shop, classroom space and rehearsal hall
are based in 516 Brickhaven Dr. Suite 200 until the renovations
are complete.
The Department of Music is located in the
Price Building, next to the Talley Student Center. Ticket Central
is on the second floor of Talley Student Center. The Dance Program
classes and rehearsals are in the Carmichael Gym across the street
from Talley Student Center. (See the Maps and Directions Link
on left).
Performances and concerts take place in Stewart Theatre
and the Ballroom on the second floor of Talley Student Center. University
Theatre produces plays on Thompson Theatre's main stage and in the
studio theatre.
The Gallery of Art & Design is located on the
second floor of Talley Student Center, right outside Stewart Theatre.
If you are attending a show, arrive early to check out the exhibits
in the gallery.
Parking is available in the deck beside Reynolds
Coliseum after 5 pm. weekdays and weekends.
If you are visiting during the day on weekdays, there
is pay parking in the Reynolds parking deck, you can stop at the
visitor's pass
booth on Stinson Drive or you can call the department you are
visiting for recommendations.
