The
arts are a vital part of education, and North Carolina State University
recognizes the importance of fostering arts programs – both
for our students and for the larger community.
Recognized at both the state and level and nationally
for their excellence, our visual and performing arts programs are
a cultural treasure on our campus and within our community. In fact,
ARTS NC STATE is part of a non-profit culture industry that directly
contributes to the economic health and quality of life in the Research
Triangle and North Carolina.
At this pivotal time in the life of the arts on our
campus, we ask our community of friends to join us in making an
investment in ARTS NC STATE. With your support, we can produce a
major cultural transformation at NC State University, enabling the
arts to achieve the same level of prominence as the University’s
other well-known areas of excellence. Our shared goal is to enrich
he experience of students and faculty, expand the cultural resources
for the entire University and surrounding community and enhance
the physical environments in which the arts are created, performed
and exhibited.
ARTS
NC STATE programs receive minimal state appropriated support and
rely strongly on ticket revenues and student fees. You can play
a vital part in this transformation by helping us build a healthy
endowment, improved aging facilities and provide annual support
for our outstanding programs. Your tax-deductible contributions
provide vital support for our programs and you with membership in
FRIENDS of ARTS NC STATE. Members enjoy a host of benefits
such as bi-annual newsletters, donor-only tours and invitations
to special events and performances. Become a Member!
"...the arts give us
a language that cuts across the disciplines, helps us to see connections,
and brings a more coherent meaning to our world." Dr. Ernest

Advancement of Teaching
