The ABI PRISM® 3100 Genetic Analyzer is a multi-color fluorescence-based DNA analysis system with 16 capillaries operating in parallel. It is capable of performing DNA sequencing and microsatellite genotyping and can run one or two 96 or 384 well plates at the same time.

Bio-Rad VersArray ChipWriter

The VersArray ChipWriter instrument arrays cDNA, DNA and other biological samples from 96-well, 384-well or 1,536-well source plates onto glass slides or membranes. Microarray spotting configuration allows printing >57,000 spots per slide. Membrane gridding configuration can print nearly 25,000 spots per membrane using 48 pins. Capacity is up to 24 slides, including 4 blot slides.

The Eppendorf MasterCyclers allow PCR in both the 384 and 96 well format and uses thermoblocks with extremely fast heating and cooling speeds and a unique heated lid technology which avoids the preheating of samples and minimizes unspecific annealing. Programmable features include temperature gradients of up to 15 degrees, Touchdown PCR option and a single controller interface for multiple machines.

The NanoDrop® ND-1000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer enables highly accurate analyses of 1 ul samples of DNA, RNA or Protein with remarkable reproducibility. The patented sample retention system eliminates the need for cuvettes and capillaries which decreases the measurement cycle time. In addition, the high absorbance capability eliminates the need for most dilutions.

Packard MultiProbe II Robot

The MultiPROBE II is an 8 tip flexible pipetting workstation for cherry picking and dilutions and is capable of pipetting into tubes, vials and microplates. A variety of tips and dispensing options allow MultiPROBE II systems to dispense volumes from 2 uL and up.
