About Us
Academic Support Program for Student Athletes, a department of the Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs, is an university program that is designed to ensure that student athletes who attend NC State University not only earn their degrees but also become productive citizens of the world. We do this in numerous ways that include monitoring academic progress, providing supplemental academic advising, and tutoring. The spirit of the rules and regulation of the NCAA, ACC, and North Carolina State University are also honored and upheld.
Our Staff
ASPSA has a staff that brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the work done with student athletes. Among the staff members are individuals who have worked within the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A), including two former presidents of the N4A, a committee chairperson, regional committee liason, a newsletter editor, and the regional secretary. These people make NC State's ASPSA program second to none. The tutors that work with the students are all CLRA certified and receive continuous training.
