USC 101C and USC 102C

Coming into the university, most student athletes do not know what to expect regarding managing their course loads, traveling with their respective teams, and being in the spotlight. At North Carolina State University, we offer our freshmen student athletes the opportunity to learn more about the university and the rigors of college life in our USC 101C classes in the fall. Learning styles, time management, and decision making are all topics that are covered in this one credit hour course.  It also allows our student athletes the chance to learn what the university expects of them.  USC 102C (taught in spring) focuses on our student athletes still undecided on a major by providing them with the skills necessary for informed decision making in choosing an appropriate major and exploring possible careers.  This course is also a one-credit hour class.
