the people who work behind the scenes:

Allen
Dupont, Ph.D.
Director of Assessment
Dr.
Allen P. Dupont has held various positions in higher education
for the past eleven years, starting as a faculty member
in economics and including work in strategic planning, institutional
research, enrollment management, assessment and accreditation.
As Director of Assessment in the Division of Undergraduate
Academic Programs, Dr. Dupont works closely with the Council
on Undergraduate Education to assess the General Education
program at NCSU. He also provides assessment advice and
assistance to faculty members, offers assessment workshops
to faculty members and administrators, and carries out research
related to assessment and retention. He also serves as a
SACS Commission on Colleges On Site Review Committee member.
Dr. Dupont holds the BA in Economics from Rice University,
and the MS and PhD in Economics from Louisiana State University.
He joined NCSU in June 2004. He and his wife enjoy traveling
and relaxing on the beach.

Pamela Steinke,
Ph.D.
Assistant
Director of Assessment
Dr. Pamela Steinke
has worked full-time in higher education since receiving
her Ph.D. in 1992. She has been a faculty member in psychology,
has coordinated academic programs and has been heavily involved
in institutional service and professional development in
the areas of assessment and service-learning. Dr. Steinke
joined NCSU in January 2006 and works closely with Dr. Dupont
to facilitate undergraduate assessment in the Division of
Academic Programs, the General Education program, and undergraduate
program review.
Dr. Steinke holds
the A.B. in Psychology and Political Science from University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology
from University of California, Davis.

Melissa McConnell
Program
Assistant
Melissa
McConnell is a program assistant in the NCSU Division of
Undergraduate Academic Programs. Her responsibilities are
divided between assisting the Office of Assessment and the
Academic Standards Office. Duties include staff support,
organizing and preparing information, assisting with committees,
web maintenance, and various tasks as needed. |
