The assessment process requires cooperation from and collaboration with all levels of faculty and staff.  In the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) at NC State, assessment is fully supported by the Vice Chancellor and is woven into the fabric of our everyday work.

Assessment efforts at NC State are somewhat decentralized, with assessment professionals working in different units around the university. The Office of Assessment in DASA has four main responsibilities:

  • To support the annual assessment and comprehensive review of undergraduate
    academic programs (click here to read more);

  • To support the assessment of general education competencies (click here to read more);

  • To support assessment within the four units that comprise DASA – Academic Programs
    and Services, Arts NC State, Residential Life, and Student Development, Health,
    and Wellness (click here to read more); and

  • To initiate and provide support for other campus assessment efforts, evaluations,
    and surveys as needed. (click here to read more)
