Creation
and Purpose
In the
fall 2003 The Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs established
an assessment team to assist and advise with the assessment process
in the Division. The purpose of the committee is to:
- Help
UAP co-curricular professionals improve the assessment process
through providing feedback on reports and plans and providing
input on deadlines and assessment report content
- Identify
outcomes, evaluation methods, and tools that can be shared among
units
- Recommend
campus wide undergraduate outcomes evaluation methods and tools
- Assist
with conversations regarding common learning outcomes for undergraduate
education
- Advise
the overall undergraduate assessment process
- Communicate
undergraduate assessment expectations and concerns across units
- Advise
on the coordination of documentation that requests or requires
the use of assessment data
The committee
will meet regularly and will be trained and advised by Undergraduate
Assessment.
