Develop your resources for sustainable assessment and share your questions and ideas with faculty members, administrators, assessment professionals and other professional staff from institutions of higher education around the country. We are pleased to have Dr. Peggy Maki, Higher Education Consultant, Peggy Maki Associates, as our keynote speaker; Linda Suskie, Vice President, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, as our Saturday plenary; Dr. Joseph Hoey IV, Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, Savannah College of Art and Design, as our Sunday Plenary. The Saturday panel discussion will feature representatives from regional accreditors discussing the future of assessment and accreditation in higher education. Panelists include: Rudy Jackson, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS); Lynn Priddy , Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (HLC-NCA); Patricia O'Brien, New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC); and Linda Suskie, Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Judith Watkins, Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), will be the moderator. Join us for what promises to be an exciting and educational event!

Featured tracks are: Academic Disciplines, General Education, Community Colleges, Student Development, Scholarship of Teaching & Learning, International Education, Institutional Competencies and Academic Support Services.

The Symposium offers:

Pre-Conference Workshops - For an additional fee, optional in-depth half-day workshops are available on Friday, April 13, 2007. Continental breakfast and lunch is provided.

• General Session Presentations - Keynote, Plenaries and Panel Discussion

• Concurrent Workshops - 60-minute concurrent workshops will be offered for the featured tracks cited above. We are pleased to offer three new tracks this year: General Education, International Education and Academic Support Services. Featured presenters include: Patti Clayton, Darla Deardorff, Barbara Miller, R. Michael Paige, Ephraim Schechter, Brian Whalen.

• Other Opportunities - Sponsors and Exhibitors will host demonstration sessions concurrent to the workshops. Please see your program for details. You will have a chance to mingle with exhibitors, presenters and other higher education professionals during breaks and meals included with your registration fee, such as: Friday night dinner; and Saturday lunch and evening reception.
