Hal Meeks earned his BA degree in Speech Communications from NC State in 1984, the same year Apple introduced the Mac. Initially working in video production, he taught himself programming, and used computers as part of video production well before Adobe Premiere l.0 shipped. He has co-authored several papers on using mobile technology in teaching, and currently works for NC State's IT department as their multimedia and mobile technology specialist.
