Try Out New Gym Free This Week

If you gobbled down too much turkey and stuffing during the Thanksgiving holiday, you can work off some of the extra calories for free this week at the new Carmichael Recreation Center.
Although
the facility doesn't officially open until Monday, Dec. 3, gym
officials are allowing NC State students, faculty and staff with a
valid university ID card to work out or check out the new facility at
designated times this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Current gym
members, as well as non-members, are welcome.

Goodnights Honored by NC State Foundation
Dr. Jim and Ann Goodnight were presented the 2007 Menscer Cup by Chancellor James Oblinger and NC State Foundation president Paul Michaels at a recent ceremony. The NC State Foundation established the award in 1997 in honor of Darrell and Carolyn Menscer, and it is awarded annually to individuals who demonstrate "exemplary leadership and advancement efforts" at the university.
