NC State’s 2,110-acre campus has undergone dramatic enhancements thanks to North Carolina voters, who approved the Higher Education Facilities Financing Act in 2000. The university’s share of the bond package, more than $468 million, paid for four dozen construction projects on campus, including new classrooms and laboratories for engineering, computer science, the physical and mathematical sciences, veterinary medicine, physics and chemistry, as well as major renovations of many older buildings. The final new project, construction of the mathematics and statistics building, opened its doors in May. The final remodel, the renovation of the Park Shops building, was completed later that month.
The NC State Alumni Association developed an online tour of the new and remodeled buildings on campus, with stunning photos and background information on each project.
