If chocolates aren't the Valentine's gift you're looking for, you can save on sports memorabilia or a trip to the aquarium.

Whether your sweetie’s tastes run to gourmet chocolate or hockey tickets, there’s a Valentine’s Day deal that will make your heart go pitter patter.

Discounts on shopping, dining and special events are part of NC State’s employee discount program, Wolfperks, which includes about 150 vendors, says Rob Stevenson, employee recognition program manager with Human Resources.

Romantics can find discounts on heart-shaped jewelry, red roses, greeting cards and formal wear. Too traditional? How about a trip to the aquarium or a day at the spa?

If your special someone isn’t the sentimental type, choose an autographed sports jersey or special event tickets. You can sample sushi or Indian food for a surprise.
