INTRAMURAL DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Eligibility and Rules

 

Who can play Intramural Dodgeball

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student with a valid NC State All Campus Card
• NC State Faculty and Staff with a valid Carmichael Gym membership

Who can NOT play Intramural Dodgeball

• Household members

How many teams can I play for

• Each individual must meet the requirements for the division(s) in which he or she wants to play
• An individual can only play for Men’s or Women’s team.

What is the format for the event

• There will be a preliminary pool play portion of the tournament with teams selecting a night of play for each pool.  Pool play games will take place from Monday through Thursday.  Each match consists of the team that wins the best 4 out of 7 sets.  The number of teams that advance from each pool to the single elimination tournament will be determined after registration has closed. In the event of a tie at the end of pool play, the team that has the highest average of remaining players per game moves on.

Inclement Weather

• Dodgeball games will be canceled if the university is operating under the Adverse Weather Policy or is closed. Participants will be contacted about how games will be made up.

Forfeits and Defaults

• The forfeit charge for dodgeball is $15.00.
• Forfeit charges must be paid in the Campus Recreation office within four business days or prior to the next sport entry date, whichever come first.  Failure to pay will result in the team being dropped from the scheduled competition and the student account being charged.
