50 meters pool 50 Meters Pool
This pool was built in 1980 and is our primary recreational/lap pool. The pool is 25 yards by 50 meters. The depth ranges from 4 feet to 7 feet. This pools holds 420,000 gallons of water. Aquatic courses taught in this pool include:
PE 103- Water Aerobics
PE 106 - Triathlon
PE 108- Water Step Aerobics
PE 223 - Lifeguard Training
PE 224 - Water Safety Instructor .
This pool is also use for long course training by the NC State Swimming Team . Since this pool primary hosts activities that are very active in nature the pool temperature is kept between 82 and 84 degrees.
