Guidelines
During children swim hours, a parent must directly supervise children younger than 12 years of age and all children unable to swim at least 50 yards without stopping. This means the parent must be in the water with the child and be able to immediately reach the child. Parents are not to swim laps while they are with their children in the pool.
Children are to be supervised at all times and under no circumstances are children to be left unattended.
Balls, toys, etc, are not allowed in the pool unless the activity is part of an instructional program sponsored by the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
The use of floatation aide devices by non-swimmers is prohibited.
This includes life jackets, water wings, baby floats, inner tubes, kick boards,
pull-buoys, etc. Exceptions to this occur when the activity is
part of an instructional program sponsored by the Willis R. Casey
Aquatic Center.
Coast Guard approved life jackets that fit and have both chest and crotch straps may be worn if approved by the Supervising Lifeguard on duty.
