Logging out

The instructions that follow describe how to log out from a Unix workstation, a modem and a ssh session.

Unix workstation

The preferred way to log out from a Unix workstation is via the "root menu". To access this menu, position the mouse pointer over the background (an area of the screen not covered by a window) and click the right mouse button (MB3). Select "Logout" from the menu by holding down the right button, dragging the mouse pointer through the list of items to highlight "Logout" and releasing the mouse button. After several seconds the computer logs you out and returns to the login screen.

Modem

When you finish a modem session, simply enter "logout" at the Unity command line. You should be logged out and your modem should disconnect.

SSH (What is SSH?)

When you finish a SSH session, enter "logout" at the command line.
