- Both
NSF projects explore the uses of the internet in education
and policy-making. The SES grant was the largest one ever
made by this NSF division.

Presentations
PIs on the pilot grants for both projects above presented
10 papers and posters at regional, national, and international
conferences.
Seminar
Series
Spring Seminar Series: eight lunchtime seminars featuring
both local and national guest speakers. An average of 10 faculty,
students, staff, and off-campus visitors attended each seminar,
representing the Departments of Communication, English, Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Adult and Community College
Education, Graphic Design, University Libraries, and Undergraduate
Affairs.
Curriculum Proposal Submitted
Request for Permission to Plan at Ph.D. in Communication,
Rhetoric, and Digital Media completed. Approved Fall 2002
by CHASS Graduate Studies Committee and NCSU Graduate Administrative
Board; signed by Chancellor Fox and submitted to UNC-OP February
2003. |
