Over three years in production, Mountain Talk is a candid and authentic portrait of language and life in Western North Carolina.

The people of the Southern Appalachian Mountains tell the story of their unique cultural evolution, revealing the quick with, good humor, and rugged perseverance that have sustained them for centuries.

These songs, stories and candid interviews convey a shared sense of place and identity that continues to define mountain people, even as their culture seems to be disappearing into the modern world.

NEW! THE QUEEN FAMILY is a new production (on DVD and audio CD) focusing on culture and music in the Southern Appalachians.
