Copper Sediment |
So what makes Pigeon House so dirty? Well, it could be things like copper that may come off of car brake pads. Think about it. Pigeon House surfaces in a park near Cameron Village Shopping Center, runs along Capital Boulevard, and dumps into Crabtree Creek. If you have ever been on Capital Blvd., you know there are a lot of cars, a lot of businesses, and a lot of houses out that way. Guess what? All of that causes pollution and affects our water supply. Whenever a big rain comes, whatever is on the roads gets washed into the storm drains and eventually makes its way into the creeks. Lots of cars and businesses EQUALS lots of pollution in our creeks. |
Are you a water Wizard, yet?
