Arrival at the Hotel Shangri-La

Hello from Ghana!

I wanted to send out a message (okay, a novel) to everyone and let you know how things are going here. Some of our group located a cyber-cafe that has a dsl connection, believe it or not, so I'm also attaching some photos.

The evening we arrived, June 16, they had some fabulous pizza ready for us, and we ate by the pool at our hotel in Accra, the Shangri-la. Nice hotel, with village 'huts' that were our rooms surrounding the main building. The rooms in all the hotels have been better than we anticipated. Fully air-conditioned, and clean.

Carmen, Orianna, Adrian, David, Connie and Kristen at breakfast. We ate lots of fresh pineapple, banana and mango, but also had oatmeal and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
The pool at the Shangri-La was spactacular!
