So, what’s it like living in Russia compared to living in the U.S.? Below is a chart which shows the cost of living for a teacher living in Russia. See if you can figure out how much they would be paying in US dollars.

Monthly Salary: 1100 rubles
Rent: 560 rubles
Electricity: 140 rubles
Phone: 40 rubles
Food: 300 rubles (bread= 25 rubles, milk=35, eggs=60)
Transportation: Bus Pass: 120 rubles
Movies: 42 rubles
Dinner out: 280 rubles
