Location


We had a wonderful time in the ancient city of Pskov, located on the Velikaya River. This river is the longest in the region. The city is situated in the northwestern part of the large country of Russia. The population is 205, 000. Compared to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Pskov is considered a smaller city but it is just as rich in culture. It has over 300 historical monuments. Some even date back at least to the 12th century. There are no written documents about how the history of Pskov started. However, there is one legend in particular that many historians believe retells the story of Pskov’s origin. Let us tell you…
